I took this drug after two very severe bouts of indigestion/heartburn. I continued to take it until I had a gastroscopy which proved completely negative. I have not had any repeat instances but would not hesitate to take it again should the condition reoccur.

This medication put a stop to unpleasant heartburn which l was regularly suffering from, due to having a small hernia.

No side effects ,easy to swallow.Medication required when taking anti inflammatory drug which I was prescribed for a week post operatively .

I take this both with Naproxen but also on its own for heartburn, it's very effective.
Profile
Omeprazole is used to treat certain stomach and esophagus problems (such as acid reflux, ulcers). It works by decreasing the amount of acid your stomach makes. It relieves symptoms such as heartburn, difficulty swallowing, and persistent cough. This medication helps heal acid damage to the stomach and esophagus, helps prevent ulcers, and may help prevent cancer of the esophagus. Omeprazole belongs to a class of drugs known as proton pump inhibitors (PPIs).
